    I'd buy a few.

It sure sucks trying to make a creative box when your guitar sold unexpectedly.

At the store where I worked, we would save the boxes and use them for shipping online sales, and we would also give them to people who needed one to ship a guitar, free of charge.

Acoustic hard shell case size ?

    yep

I’d buy them . I’m always selling a guitar or 7 for somebody liquidating their collection .

U-Line boxes, you have to buy 5 or so at $10 each and then shipping on top so they’re $15-$20 a piece and you’re giving U-Line money, which is NEVER good...o_O

I've been liquidating my collection now ahead of the coming economic disaster. I've actually had to buy some stew mac boxes (with a great coupon and free shipping). Why? Um....tell me where to get a damn box these days! Everything around here is CLOSED! From mom and pop to GC. All of my sources are gone. Yes, I'd buy that box in a second.

Used to be a guy who posted a standing offer to buy guitar boxes for $5 on our local CL, so its not totally crazy.

Yes. I would but at 5 bucks a pop. There have been times when I wished I had another carton to ship with and I ended up making one out of odd cardboard pieces. I try to keep mine. Just break them down and keep them in the rafters of the garage. Also the cartons that rifle cases come in are quite similar in size. Maybe a little longer but they work great also. Or you can just do this.....

    Doesn't Reverb sell them cheaper?

I don't think its too weird. I save some cardboard/boxes but I don't hoard it. Furthermore, long boxes are kinda hard to come by casually.

They show up on CL in my area, so somebody is buying them. I have kept all of mine just in case I needed to ship a guitar, so there is a market for them. $10 would probably be the price limit for me.

You make a solid point. All the guitar shops are closed. It must be tough to find a free box these days.

Actually that’s not a bad price. As I recall Reverb was higher than that.

My guitar did the same when I needed some when moving from UK to Spain, and free of charge. They also gave me a lot of the European plug leads for my amps

I see guitar boxes on C/L pretty often. Beats making one from scratch. I might not be willing to pay $10 though. $5 sounds closer to my budget.
