    Hey,

    which one would u buy

    -66 super reverb 99% original, cts alnico, just the big caps in the doghouse changed to new
    3900euro

    -66 super reverb, mojotone power transformer, ceramic cts speakers, new tolex and grill cloth, cap job done, otherwise pretty much original
    2200euro

    First one. Or neither. Is that pricing reasonable? Over here in USD, that'd be way high.

    If you replace a transformer even with a high quality one, you will take hundreds of dollars of value away from the amp.
    I wouldn't buy one with a changed transformer unless it was really cheap.
    It might make it very hard to sell.
    Change the speakers, not as much value loss.

    Actually, serious collector - no, the caps have been changed... collector, "as long as the original caps are included" (so he cap put the original caps back in and sell the amp to a semi-serious collector).:)
