would this grain pattern on the headstock bother you?

Looking at this on one of those online sites - guitar checks almost all my boxes but noticed this funky pattern - anything to be cautious about, like potential weakness or warping? Thanks!

I agree that it looks cool! Wouldn't want it on a Les Paul, though. It seems like something that might make that style of neck more prone to breakage. It's not an issue with a Fender.

Funny you posted this...

I glanced at my Strat Plus the other day and nearly had a heart attack. The grain pattern looked like a crack and totally freaked me out. Not sure how I never noticed before...

The cracked headstock on my Yamaha Samurai has me hyper-aware, I guess.

Considering that the back of the headstock is the place I'm least likely to look at.. I'd say no, about the grain lines being a bother...
