I hope the dastardly luthier didn't really go off rails and eat or go to the bathroom while he had the guitar.

Assuming it is indeed your guitar, I would be annoyed if I were you. Especially if this guy's using the guitar on social media that he is getting revenue from paid advertising or some other.

No one uses my gear in that context without my permission.

I think that's unprofessional. Again, assuming it is your guitar.

Do y’all expect a tech to fix yer guitar without touching it?

I'd have to see the video. Maybe he's factored in time to record & post videos on all the guitars he's working on. I'd be very nervous if it was a distinctive guitar I bought second hand and I wasn't 100% sure it wasn't stolen.

Would it be okay if he posted a video of him doing the repair work to your guitar?
Just curious as I’ve often thought of doing this and wether or not I need to ask the owner of the guitar.

How many notes played by the tech constitutes too many?

So now he’s saying he needs another day to ‘dial in the setup’. I wouldn’t be surprised if he hasn’t even started working on it yet

Yea. Pick it up... Neva go back!

People have unfairly given you a hard time in this thread.
You early on laid it out pretty clear.

    Yes.

    TL;DR

No idea what this is about, but it’s safe to say it annoys me. Everything annoys me.

In my head it involves some version of this scene with “guitar” in place of “bottle”

Imo part of setting up a guitar is playing it

Reminds me of an article I read where the guy got all upset because he took his new corvette in for service and the mechanic got caught test driving it. He did get up to 140 on the highway but how else are you supposed to test out a sports car?
