Would a Gibson-style wraparound bridge works with a 25.5" scale?

I have an evil idea in the works...But I need to know if the compensation in the bridge is "preset" to the 24.75" scale...

it seems like it would be preset to compensate for the 24.75" scale, but there are a couple other options.

PRS makes a compensated wraparound bridge that would be closer to the Fender 25.5" (maybe 25")

also, i think there are some adjustable wraparound designs out there.

Lemme know what you end up doing, this "evil" idea seems intriguing to me

I'd be thinking of an adjustable combination bridge/tailpiece like Tone Pros makes as a replacement for the PRS. The only issue then is the string spacing at the bridge but you probably can notch the saddles individually to get a little customization there (not much, mind you, since you can't go very far off center on the saddle with the top-wrap string being anchored right next to it).

    Will check that. Thanks!

And I'll keep you guys posted on what I come up. I just had a nice idea here at the office, sketched on a couple of papers, and I think I'll get started this Sunday on it.

    :D

there might be a string spacing issue if you are using a Fender neck, as these tailpieces are designed for use with Gibson products ... Here is a Schaller product[IMG]

If you have a 2" pole center to pole center bridge pickup and a 12" radius neck ... it'll work perfectly! :D
