I just discovered a little over a year ago while visiting some friends in Belgium that Flemish and Dutch were the same language. As did I . Then you have the Flemish . A language without a country . Go figure .

You may be correct , but that's not how it was explained to me by the 2 Flemish people that I met in Germany .I just discovered a little over a year ago while visiting some friends in Belgium that Flemish and Dutch were the same language.
Reading through this thread I feel like a failure. I can't really think of any epithets hurled my way.
I’m saving this one that I saw in a book by Flann O’Brien:
“You are the death vomit of a leper.”
I can’t imagine what would provoke me to unleash this one, but watch your step.
Here's a leper joke with a Canadian twist for you.
Why did the referees stop the leper hockey game?
There was a face-off in the corner.
Yes, I have flags but apparently describing them (all perfectly normal and flying over our state house) gets your post removed.
I really try to avoid people that think it's OK to call another adult an insulting name, or get in someone's face over a trivial matter (Which most matters are, when you get right down to it.)
Come to think of it, I try to avoid most people.
Actually I just remembered my mother's favorite for me was "You're despicable!"

At work I'm happy to take on the foul mouths that are yelling at the front desk person over some dissatisfaction they are having.
I don't know why really, almost as if I make a potholder of myself to keep the thinner skinned from getting burned?
I wouldn't want to live with those folks but find some satisfaction in taking out their trash, so to speak.
If an adult has to have a temper tantrum, I' available for tantrum management!
Must go back to childhood or have some Freudian meaning?
It's not low self esteem, I handle them in ways that don't involve them calling ME names, always take them away from their offensive enemy under pretext of having solutions to offer.
Most of the time I have no solution but their primary need is to be heard and validated.
Come to think of it, those who frequently hurl insults at random innocents are probably suffering from a lack of self esteem and a sense of not being validated by their peers.
Oh hell what do I know?
Snake oil is all I got!
LOL, no, orecchiette, it had to do with free radicals, and I couldn’t answer it well enough to be correct, so I thought it was funny.... free radicals, like radicals that hadn’t been imprisoned by the gov’t yet... the old bass turd failed to se the humor....f him, was still on the honor roll ... I and many classmates found it funnyWas it a test about the Heisenberg Principle?

these days, believe me, it's the totally opposite, and I am like that too. Verging on obese, now... but don't get called names. It's a young, unseasoned, immature school thing, methinks.Overall I'd rather receive comments about being slim than being fat (after being overweight/obese for most of my adult life)
