    Yep.

The first season was mostly rewrites of TOS episodes and also scripts that were never shot originally for TOS. Most of the terrible episodes of that series were almost exclusively in the first season. Though the episode where a bunch of characters turn into kids was utterly dreadful and painful to watch... and was in the 6th season, I think. Yikes!

And Wesley Crusher was basically Gene Roddenberry putting himself as a kid in the series as a character. The writers actually had to stop with the "Wes saves the ship" element after a few episodes.

I never liked kids in shows.

Teal'c in the original Stargate - way too smug. Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins from when I was a kid. More specifically, his 'cockney' accent.
Most new characters that appear in series three or four of any tv show once the ratings slow down and the original characters run out of steam.

I wondered how long it'd be before JJB was mentioned!

If there was a "smug" emoticon, it'd look like Gervaise.

The entire cast of Scrubs. Not the actors, but the characters.

Judy Robinson on Lost in Space.

I realize she was there to provide a little boom boom for Major West but she didn't otherwise serve any purpose on the show. Of course there was that time she was turned into a space plant. That was totally worth it.

Ouch. That's classic Americana there. "Tis like bagging on I Love Lucy or Leave it to Beaver. It hearkens back to a simpler time when "girls were girls and men were men".

Now that's a really good one. I couldn't watch that show once he joined the cast.
