They don't come much smaller than this. 250 milliwatts into a 2" speaker in a sealed cabinet. And it sounds pretty good -- listen to this demo and judge for yourself. I built it myself by modifying the Ruby amp design.

Played on a 1975 Electra Super Rock 2245 and recorded on the Yahama AW1600 Professional Audio Workstation.

    I HOPE YOU LIKE IT!

Thanks for the compliments, I get it. Yes it is solid state it uses a LM386 op amp and one JFET transistor. The circuit board is about a one inch square.

I estimate the guitar amplifier weighs about five ounces, most of it the speaker . It weighs a bit more than a stick of butter but a lot less than two sticks.

Yes it will drive a speaker cabinet and it is much louder and fuller sounding than the 2" speaker! I had the same reaction as B Valley though haha.

When "volume" is needed I just fire up the Peavey Renown -- a conservative 220 watts RMS into two 12" speakers. Nearly 1,000 times as powerful as the micro amp lol.
