I voted Nats as I'm a DC- area native ( still live here) and basically learned about MLB/the game of pro baseball ( late to the party, now 60!) with the arrival of the Nats. Watch every game I can, learning the game.
As much as I hope the Nats win, how would you feel ( as Astros players and fans) coming back to Houston after kicking Nats butts, 3 straight games in D.C.?! They have got to feel just pumped playing at home tonight.
Strasburg is our only hope, IMO, if he can shut down the hits, and we get a few of our own.
But I feel like this is it, Nats lose.
I hope I'm wrong. Hell of a Season, very proud of this team.

I fear it's all over 'cept the cryin', folks.

The Nats simply can't match the pitching/hitting firepower of the 'Stros!

Verlander is (I think) 0-5 in the World Series. Could he win his first ever World Series game tonight and the Astros win the World Series? Yeah. That will be the storyline I think. Houston wins the WS in 6. Great run for the Nationals, but the party is over.

No, this has never happened (according to WS stats on baseball-reference.com).

If Strasburg has another strong outing (4-0 in playoffs) and this series trend continues with every road team winning - the World Series ratings may go up with a Game 7!

    -------
The Mahomes-less game between the Packers and Chiefs averaged 18.3 million viewers, according to NBC. The fifth game of the World Series averaged 11.4 million viewers. The 61-percent gap becomes the highest of the NFL vs. World Series rivalries.

The World Series generally has struggled this year; even a not-so-must-see Thursday night game between Washington and Minnesota outperformed each of the first four games of the World Series. Saturday night’s Game Four generated the second-lowest TV ratings for a World Series game ever.

A closer look shows that the most games lost by home teams in a World Series is 5, and that has only happened 14 times, most recently 2016 World Series. So a Houston loss tonight would make World Series history...it's never happened.

And there have only been 3 times when the first 5 games were lost by the home team...1906, 1996, and now.

Now I'm rooting (against the root) rabidly for Washington, just in the hope that it does happen. That would be cooler than cool.

I tried to attend Sunday night's game in DC but couldn't find an affordable ticket outside the stadium before the game. I watched the first 4 innings at the cool setup they had in an empty lot a half block from the stadium. Pretty cool vibe going there but the Nats lost.

Is it just me or has the officiating been particularly poor this series?

    Cheers,

To date, no team has won 4 away games to win the WS! EVER!!! Not saying it won’t happen tomorrow, but no matter what, we’ll be watching history tomorrow (either keep the streak alive or Nats will be first team ever to win 4 road games to win the title)

You're watching history now! No team has won 3 away games to force a game 7. It's never happened...until tonight!!!

I work with a guy, a buddy of mine, who is a HUGE Detroit sports fan. Well, he’s bitter about JV at Houston, of course. BUT I’m just shaking my head. The guy been money-ish through the reg season, but trash this postseason, when it ALL matters. And I just wonder to myself, “Is Justin Verlander overrated? The most overrated?” I think so: he’s been terrible this postseason 0-6, which is history making bad, in a bad way not good way to make history.

There is nothing new under the sun, or a dome, or....

Yeah, some bad calls, fer sure.

Kudos to the Nats for a real gumption win. Let's hope tomorrow's game comes down to a great last inning.
