Same here. It really makes me miss living in Boston at times like this when the whole city is buzzing. It's a shame that no one outside Boston or St. Louis seems to care since this series has been pretty fantastic.

I'm starting to move away from football. Between the weird cult-like obsession people seem to have about it and the growing realization that we're watching people destroy themselves for our entertainment (and the destruction is the very source of the entertainment), the whole thing is getting too creepy for me.

Baseball was magical to me as a child. It went away for awhile as I got into school and football became a bigger deal. Now that I am grown and have young kids I have fallen in love with baseball all over again. When I hit grounders to my 4 year old and shout words of encouragement to him something amazing happens...I hear my father's voice.

I'm surprised yesterday's game didn't end on a triple play or some strangeness.

    ^^Ending on a balk would've been perfect.^^

With the way the kid Wacha has been pitching this is looking and feeling like a 7 gamer.

Yeah, I was picking up KMOX out of St. Louis on an old AM/FM walkman last night. They are about 15 seconds AHEAD of the televised action.

Yeah, a balk would have been perfect, the way that one pitcher (sorry, guy whose name I don't recall) was jazzing up his delivery with the stutter-step.

David Ortiz = $14,000,000 this year.

Prince Fielder = $23,000,000 this year.

    *sigh* :(

Really a great series, for the most part good pitching except the 1st game, I love those 4-2 games, where timely hitting plays a big part, moving the runner over etc..

    +1 (16 game season ?)

But soccer has been stealing North American kids from baseball for a couple decades now and is arguably less safe. If it wasn't for South America & Cuba there would be no MLB.

20+ mph winds straight at the outfield tonight.

I think I'm now ready to watch one of these games...

So obviously tonight is win or go home for St Louis... but is it also 'must win' for Boston?

Their pitching situation for Game 7 could be a problem if they don't close it out tonight.

Big Papi... if you're the Cards manager, does he get to see one hittable ball??

The weather is a factor in this series.

    Shouldn't be the case.

Shorten the season by bringing back the organic double-header!

Boston is playing exceptionally well--STL is choking. The pontificaters predicted a battle of the dugouts. Seems the only dugout in a battle is STL. However, the fat lady has not sung.

St Louis has been pretty anemic on offense this entire series. Don't know if that's more Boston pitching, or more StL hitting. Either way, Boston is playing like a champion right now.
