They held the ball so well, we just couldn't get it off them...crisp accurate passes to each other, very hard to stop them going forward..

we defended well and blocked a lot of shots.. the score could have been more. We did the best we could and kept them to 2 goals... not a bad effort...;)

Not a bad effort at all. Their second goal was just one of those bad luck moments that happens. The Aussie goal was a lovely one!

A big day for us :) it's coming home more so as I've spent 4 years muttering under my breath about the upset to our domestic season and not bothering watching any of it same as my mates, anyway my mates are coming round for the game this evening 😇

I listened to yesterday's games on the radio as I was papering a ceiling and I'll get this afternoons game the same as I finish the hanging the walls, it's safer than playing northern soul when stood on a hop up :p[/S]

Couple of results to like today and a good tourney overall so far, one dumb yank's opinion. Big players coming up big, well played games, and I haven't seen a ton of egregious misofficiating/flopping. Yet anyway. :)

Congratulations on a well-played match (that'll be me booted out of Scotland for saying that).
You held on well at the start and completely floored them after the first goal. No danger after that.
You've got some player in Bellingham, Foden too, they'd get on any team sheet at the WC.

Next week's game against France will be a corker and the build-up will have everyone North and South of the wall in a frenzy.
If I was a financial speculator, I'd sink my cash into tartan berets and deep-fried camembert.

Anyway, must dash I see pitchforks and torches in the distance.
McSkynet must be on to me.

Actually I was bored after 10 mins and started watching 'A Bridge Too Far'.
Finished, England 1- 1 Germany.

Phil Foden was still a bit grumpy.

Um, you all know France is going to with this thing again, right? Really not much reason to continue watching. Unless you're from France.
I know, England never win anything.
There's a distinct lack of World Cup fever around here.
Haven't seen one person in an England shirt, no flags flying, too near Xmas.

Everyone just waiting for Boxing Day when we can return to real football, I reckon.

PS - I was absolutely only joking about France. So please don't take it to heart. I actually expect Japan to win it.
