Well, for my first time watching in my 72 years on earth it was quite a show. My DVR screwed up & when I started watching today I had exactly one minute of play! Went live before France scored their first goal then wham, another. I had to leave soon after so avoided all news until I could get back to watch the overtime periods and finally the kick off, if that’s what they call it? I had no idea how that was done and man, what a tense way to finish a championship!

Great win by Argentina.

another exciting game full of twists and turns....

eventually, Argentina and Messi get their world cup medals... after showing his class. Not bad for an old fella...

Gallant France kept coming back and had their chances too... they left it until late to get started..

a worthy WC final.... 3-3 and a shootout, epic...

I had to wait until after watching the full replay this morning without hearing any spoilers before checking in.....

What a ride. I feel privileged to have witnessed this match in real time.

I did not get to catch the entire match, I came in with Argentina leading 2-0 in about the 72nd minute.
Argentina was holding the ball and France looked out of it.

Then France scored in a blink of an eye and then in two blinks of an eye scored again!

Then I had to leave at the end of full time all tied. I came back just after Argentina scored and then saw the penalty and ensuing goal for France.

Then I did get to see the shootout.
Congrats to Argentina on a well played World Cup.

What a great final of the career for Messi! It is also interesting to read all the Spanish speaking communities and how they are freaking out cause of the victory.
