Today's matches are looking good.
So far, the matches haven't disappointed Brazil were mind-blowing as ever last night.
I was conflicted for various reasons about watching it this year but decided rather than have the powers that be steal the people's game, I'd just go ahead and watch.

As usual my country is not at the races and whenever we've been there, we've been home before the postcards. Also with no Irish, Italians, Norwegians or Swedes this year, all countries I like to see do well, I've pinned my colours on our Celtic cousins in the land of Dylan Thomas, Burley Chassis, and the Manic Street Preachers and temporarily altered my nationality accordingly.

So today We (the Welsh) face Iran at 10am GMT

This evening's match at 7pm GMT should be good fun too.
Marshall vs Fender

Best of luck to all who have a dog in the latter fight.

I'm a USA homer but have largely enjoyed all of the games so far. Portugal vs. Ghana yesterday got a little crazy at the end. Shame I can't watch any of the games tomorrow, on the clock while the USA-England game is on.

Fello Scot here old enough to still find the memories of Archie Gemmill stirring! I will also be supporting our celtic brothers.

Love the amp analogy by the way!

As this game has gone on I've been hoping for an Iran win. They've deserved it and have been desperately unlucky. Also a total shocker of a challenge from the Welsh keeper.

Seemed to me like there were numerous Welsh defenders back to defend - but they defended against grass, not Iranian attackers.

Surprising results at WC '22 just goes to show...you never can tell ;-)

I’ve never watched a game in my life but when I arrived at deer camp last night my friend & his son had it on, so I sat down and watched. They explained a few things to me very clearly and I found myself really enjoying it. Incredible athleticism and play continues nearly uninterrupted so nonstop action; what the heck?! We switched over to the NFL game a couple of times and while I’m a big fan it was kinda plodding in comparison. Yikes!

I’m looking forward to catching some more of it today. I’ll remain an American football fan but was really surprised that I liked it so quickly. Never would have guessed that!

Saw some of one game. That looks like one long field. I don't understand the game. Nice diversion
from (US football) when no great games on.

My neighbor is a big premier league guy and refused to watch the world cup because of various things.

It's coming home :p:p:p

I'm watching bits reluctantly and have had a couple on the radio, but then I'd have done that with the football in a normal season anyway.

That's why they call it "The Beautiful Game". :)

I confess that I much prefer compared to NFL. Much of that is due to the fact that I played the game, where I didn’t play the “American” version. But there’s other reasons too.

No commercials!
Much less fear of seeing an athlete suffering a horrible injury
Constant action (almost), no waiting between “plays”.
Game is over in less than two hours.
I dare say it is the more “beautiful game”.

That said I’ll still be rooting for my Dolphins come Sunday.

Haven't really watch any games this year. I'm still a fan though.
