My mom always said store brand is fine except for Lea and Perrins and Helmans Mayo.
Jeff's got some.
At least French's doesn't have HFCS.
Distilled Vinegar, Water, Molasses, Sugar, Salt, Spices, Citric Acid, Anchovy (Fish), Celery Seed, Natural Flavor (Contains Soy), Xanthan Gum (Thickener), Garlic Powder & Tamarind Extract.
Steak-Umms! ( minute steaks)
We had these a lot when our kids were kids. ( my wife would work-in some French's W. Sauce)
But now they set off our smoke detector! ( apartment) I miss her quick Steak and Cheese subs
Take the sauce and wash it down with 8oz vodka that should help
Lea and Perrins is owned by Kraft Heinz.......
If you haven't, check out Braswells. Their's is excellent IMHO. Made in Georgia.
L&P is the only way to go. Sometimes I'll just grab the bottle and drink a tablespoon or so.
I've bought L&P and French's.
I hate to admit it, but I liked the French's just fine.
But then again, I'm fairly plebian.
The jihad against HFCS doesn't interest me.
Quick follow-up question...Is it acceptable to use this worcestershire sauce you speak of on a hamburger?
If you like. No-one's going to judge.
Neither does Lea & Perrins.
I don't care about that so much either but if I'm going to eat sugar I want good old cane sugar.
I had listed the L&P and Heinz ingredients earlier in the thread. What I found interesting is that even store brands, like Kroger, often have better formulation than Heinz.
Had grilled T-Bone steaks last night. Little garlic butter and L&P. Perfect. Had enough left over for a sandwich later today.
When shopping for the stuff, remember the best wire in a Telecaster was always paper wrapped. It makes a difference.
tks...never thought of online
No one mentioned a Caesar cocktail yet? Can't make one without L&P.
I don't put it on the burger, I put it in the meat when I'm making the patties.
