Hello All,

I have a G&L Asat Classic S Alnico and I am trying to put a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Tapped in the Bridge. However I am unsure how to wire it. I installed a push/pull tone knob, but I don’t know how to wire it so that I can activate the tapped(lower output) when I pull up on the tone knob. Any help would be most appreciated. Attached is my current schematic. I want it so when I pull up on the tone knob the bridge pickup is tapped and down is full power.
Thank you for your time,
Travis

This should do it:

Note that with Seymore Duncan pickups, TYPICALLY the black is hot, the green is ground, and the red and white are the series pair.

The tone p/p grounds the series pair when pulled, shunting ONE of the coils.

IF you find that the S-D bridge plays out of phase with the G&L pickups, simply reverse the S-D black and green. No need to rewire the p/p, it will simply leave the other coil active.
