Hi all. Hope you're good. Clearly I'm a novice at wiring. Looking at this wiring diagram, does it appear that the tone pots are connected? I wondered that before I started, but followed the diagram to a T anyway, and, sure enough, the tone pots don't do anything. if they are in fact not connected, where/how do they connect? I should mention that the pickups are humbuckers. thanks!

The only diagram I found on the site looks more reasonable

This is based on the Fender service manual diagram. Usually tone pots not working is a ground issue or could be the capacitor wire going to the pot lug is touching the case.

Your diagram does not show the wires and caps that go to/on the tone pots.

Thanks. Yeah, that diagram is very clear. I'd go with that one, except my Humbucker pickups have more than one wire coming out of them. They have 3, that's why I went with the other diagram.

If they have three, they're probably hot, ground, and shield. You'd just connect ground to shield and then to the common ground, them use the hot lead like you would a single coil.
