Hello I have used the m audio fast track with my old computer. Now I have windows 7 (on a new computer) and would love to upgrade to something that can record vocals and guitar at the same time. I am weary of buying something and it not working with windows 7. I am thinking of the presonus one that I think is around $350 at guitar center. $400 is pretty much my budget on this one, thanks for any advice

I have a Presonus Firebox that works with Windows 7.

I have three external soundcards, and they all made the transition just fine, and one of them is probably more than five years old. Is that all? Well, it seems old to me. I guess my point is that my impression is that any decent soundcard from the past half decade or so probably won't have any trouble making the leap to Windows 7.

Well... I don't necessarily know what I'm talking about.

I presume you tried to update the drivers.

My M-Audio ProFire 610 works great on Win7 x64. Just make sure you get the most recent driver.

My TASCAM US122L works fine with W7. I transitioned it from XP. Again make sure to download the latest drivers from the site, I'm sure all manufacuters would have done patches or whatever for W7.
