I just bought some Firewire gear (Tascam FW-1082,Presonus FireStudio,Mackie Satelite etc) ...
The support ended with W7/8...so I had the idea to use W7/8 on HD1 and W10 on HD2...

    Is that possible?

Just install 10 and run virtual disk for 7/8.

When you install a second windows version, windows wil guide you through the process and make a dual boot.

You get the question which windows to boot when you turn on the pc.

As said its wise to disable internet for win 7 or 8.

Good Luck, as has already been said: "Don't connect them to the interwebs"

Don't give them water, keep them out of sunlight and NEVER feed them after midnight :lol::lol:

Sure.... I got a computer that has XP, Windows 7, Windows 10, and Linux on it. I have some software that will only run on XP. But I use Linux the most. Windows 10 tends to break way to much, They don't really test stuff any more before they release it.

6 years. No issues. Right down to using Microsoft's own virus protection and firewall programs.

It's always been my experience that people just don't know what they're doing.

I generally find that Windows problems are related to drivers, caused by either old or obscure hardware that just aren't well supported.

I have been in IT long enough to have been around BEFORE windows. I have run every version of Windows since and I have NEVER had the issues that most whine about.

I currently have 2 desktops and 4 laptops running Windows 10 in our home and they are ALL rock solid reliable...

guess if all your doing is a little browsing and e-mail probably not a problem. The other day several government agencies had problems because of a windows 10 update.

If you spend any time following cybersecurity alerts you will quickly realize that the only safe computer is one that is unplugged and that goes for ANY brand or OS.

Every OS has vulnerabilities, most get fixed, others linger for sometimes years.
I ran my own business with my own Linux and Windows servers collocated with AT&T for years and I kept up with this stuff, still do to a lesser extent.
