Will this equipment give me a good sound similar to The Edge?

There we go. Finally someone who understands that I just want a simple U2 tone without all the bells and whistles and tubeness. I salute you, Coldwar1977. :D
Do you think the TC Electronic Flashback will do a good job of that?

What effects do I need to get 'The Edge' sorta sound?

Obviously I need delay, but do I need a compressor, chorus, overdrive, etc.?
I was going to get a TC Electronic Flashback delay pedal, a DigiTech Bad Monkey Overdrive, EHX Small Clone chorus, and an MXR Super Comp - would that be good?
    Thanks
    Katie :D

    You're welcome KT ;)

The TC Electronics Flashback is an awesome sounding pedal. It's guaranteed to cover your delay needs!

Do you guys reckon I should get the Vox AC4TV rather then the Pathfinder then? Apparently the ac4tv is a bit of a one trick pony, and if i get it, i wont be able to afford the delay pedal :p

I had an Ac4. Nice amp but not real clean headroom at volume.

I would stick to the pathfinder for the time being. If you want drive or distortion you can add a pedal.

Easier that than want louder clean and not be able to get it (as with an AC4tv)

PLUS, you NEED the delay pedal to achieve the sounds you want.

Ac4tv is good for the money, pathfinder is outstanding for the money, especially given your stated interest. Skip the compressor for the time being, Imho.

I agree with Honeyman. Skip the compressor.
Those other stompboxes will do the job perfectly. The Bad Monkey and the Small Clone are pedals that sound magic with singlecoils!
