When I heard the news announcer say "Wilko Johnson, guitarist and one of the founder members of the influential band Dr Feelgood..." my heart sank in anticipation of the news of his death - so it was one hell of a pleasure to hear the opposite :D:D:D

You know there are people out there believe it was just a stunt to sell tickets.

At times I despair of humanity.

I was very happy to hear this news today! I have been a big fan for a long time and I was really shocked when they said he didn't have long to live, two years ago. I was really impressed at the way he handled his illness and his amazing lust for life! But of course being cancer free is even better!

Don't know if it was a stunt or not…watched a lot of his interviews and he doesn't seem the sort of bloke to try to con people but I'm not a good judge of character so who knows.
Strange he got the kind of recognition the last couple of years most musicians only get when they die, and he was here to enjoy it.
    Good luck to him

Listened to an old desert island discs with ian dury today, he was treated badly by the industry and media for a few years and only when he died was he recognised for his talent.

A sudden cure for pancreatic cancer ? has his oncologist actually come out and said this man no longer has cancer , to go from terminal to completely cured of one of the most aggressive forms of cancer is nothing short of a miracle and will give hope to many in the same boat
    good luck to the fella

I think that's unlikely and hyperbole on the part of Mr. Johnson. Or which ever misinformed person wrote that article. He didn't have his pancreas removed. Just trimmed somewhat.

Great news about Wilko . Ian Drury was fantastic.A real loss and a one off . Another art school grad like so many over here .
