Wife's Artwork

She attended Ferris state college a few decades ago and got her degree in commercial
art. She has been published in multiple magazines, and even did the Rose Bowl logo
for when MSU won in 1988, for the embroidered patches. I wish I was as talented on
guitar as she is with her paintings.

I post a lot in the random pics by the month thread and Lone Poor Boy suggested that
her artwork deserved it's own thread. I believe he's right. Thanks for the nudge LPB.

Of course I will share this with her so she can read the comments.
She has been doing lots of pet portraits lately. Using pastels, acrylics, and watercolors.
She has quite a few of her rock art stuff on display at art galleries and stores in our area.

She also does two or three art shows per year. This last year, we bought a space at the
local farmers market in town to sell some of our excess veggies, and she did very well
with her artwork there as well.

I'm always amazed at how close she gets compared to the actual photo. Her pastels
are amazing.

AKC, UKC, and her old canine club members, as well as friends she has made at the
Cardigan Nationals as well as her facebook friends has kept her pretty busy. I even bought her a large set of extra fine tipped acrylic pens for her last birthday versus the
very fine brushes she had been using.

Some of these I've already posted in the monthy random pic threads over the last
year and half, but many here I've never posted.

I got carried away pulling the links from my imgur pages of these, but I'm
very proud of her accomplishments.

I would also add that we are big time dog lovers, cats too. We had 3 corgis, but lost our
oldest, Forrest, about a year ago so we are now down to two.

This is her most recent, and I really like this one.

Here are some more examples

Grooming brushes - Acrylics
She just got a pending order to do 27 of these for AKC.
The brushes below were costly, so some research on her part and
the lady in charge of the order have found a place to get these
wholesale for about a fourth of the costs of the ones shown below.
She is now waiting for the lady to send her the brushes.

Rock Art - Acrylics
I think her pastels are the closest to the actual photo, but this one done with acrylics is also amazing
considering that the rock face is not exactly a smooth surface to paint on.

Wow Dave, if you think your wife's paintings are good, you really need that cataract surgery....

Nah, just playing. Those paintings are super beautiful, I see why you are proud to share. I wish I was good with the brush. Thanks for sharing :)

Wonderful, Mrs. Poser's mom is also an artist (and in Michigan); she's done a few dog portraits for us and others, but nowhere near this prolific. Love those Aussies!
