Today was the trade deadline in the Major Leagues (of baseball.) Many have said it was the best 'trade day' in MLB history. It may be true, we shall see.

In speaking with my good friend, Omar, today, we arrived at what we believe is wrong with the world and how to fix it. This encompasses the needs for a balance that will serve the Earth for a very long time, if not ensure peace, at least rebalance things in a way that we can at least recognize.

    Peace, friends, peace.

For the record, I am a San Francisco Giants fan and Omar, well, he is an Oakland A's fan. We are NOT New York Yankees fans.

This is our theory and it has to do with Chretien de Troyes & Shakespeare's concepts of what happens when there is a false king and what happens when false kings rule. In short, when that happens, the world goes completely crazy and there is only unsettled unhappiness.

The fix: Put Mike Trout on the New York Yankees. His health will return. The world will turn correctly, ice caps will grow, the world will cool off and we will go back to a more normal life.

Mike Trout should be a Yankee. While we understand that when this happens it will mean very tough times for our teams, we are willing to sacrifice in order to have a better world.

Feel free to support this concept below.

I don't know how to fix it but, Ohtani hands down. It would be a dream to see a pitcher with a 1 something era and hitting .300.

This is not a place I'd expect a reference to Chretien de Troyes.

Let's lighten things up a little..surely Albert Camus will help:

"Mama died today. Or yesterday maybe, I don't know. I got a telegram from the home: "Mother deceased. Funeral tomorrow. Faithfully yours." That doesn't mean anything. Maybe it was yesterday.

The old people's home is at Marengo, about eighty kilometers from Algiers, I'll take the two o'clock bus and get there in the afternoon. That way I can be there for the vigil and come back tomorrow night. I asked my boss for two days off and there was no way he was going to refuse me with an excuse like that. But he wasn't too happy about it. I even said, "It's not my fault."

He didn't say anything. Then I thought I shouldn't have said that. After all, I didn't have anything to apologize for. He's the one who should have offered his condolences. But he probably will day after tomorrow, when he sees I'm in mourning. For now, it's almost as if Mama weren't dead. After the funeral, though, the case will be closed, and everything will have a more official feel to it."

Trout AND Ohtani to the Yankees. Its only a matter of time....

The king is dead. (Does anyone else wish that they revived The Senators name instead of the Nats? What a missed opportunity.)

I tried to hate Mike Trout. I really did. He was just too perfect, the way he looks and plays. But then he opens his mouth and, wouldn’t you know it, says reasonable things. And hates the Astros and, wouldn’t you know it, cheaters.
My Mariners could have drafted him, but instead took...? (What’s-his-name). The world would be a better place if he were in Seattle. Too selfish? Can’t we at least keep him on the west coast? How about the Dodgers? Anywhere but NY, the evil empire

playing sports is cool. Having a nephew or niece that plays sports is cool. Watching sports is lame. Spending $100.00+ for the luxury of wearing another man's name on your back (are you in prison?) is unforgivable. When I was 5 years old and learned that the majority of the players from the Milwaukee Brewers were not from Milwaukee (or even Wisconsin), I said "Screw This". I was five.

As I got to drinking age, I could not ignore that a place called "Miller Park" would have the gall to charge their own fans obscene amounts of cash for a locally produced domestic beer.

These people wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire.

It’s rounders isn’t it? .... a game played by 9 year old girls?

Put them in charge. They’ll sort it all.
