    That was great!

At my last job, they had converted a loft space to a ping pong parlor with 6 tables. Lots of action over the lunch hour everyday. The Fillipino guys were unbeatable. One of them told me they played in school for PE when they were growing up. They were able to put crazy spin on the ball.

When I was stationed in England in mid 80s I used to play a lot with one of my coworkers from Trinidad. We weren’t as good as those guys in the original post but we did some crazy stuff with both of us being a good 10 feet from the end of the table.

When I was on an offshore oil rig, the head guy was a PP addict...and a sore loser. If he got beat, he would break his paddle on the edge of the table; just snap it in two.

He had a storage locker with a crate full of paddles, the cheap sandpaper-faced ones.

I played for fun, could get ridiculous spin...but not very competitive by nature.

Idk. At work the other day they had the women’s volleyball on. Brazil/USA. Can’t say I had much to complain about.

But yea. PP. I have no idea how they do it. They run back 30 feet and still have no issue. Game goes way too quick for me to play. Haha. But that guy on the bottom. Ran around the table haha. Still made the shot/pass (idk what it’s called lol) that’s impressive.

I played a bit when I was a kid, then a lot again on rigs. Thankfully the boss man preferred snooker, which left the rest of of us to enjoy ping pong, pool, darts and card games.

I was in college in 1970-74, when the "Ping Pong" diplomacy was going on with China. I probably spent as much time playing pingpong as I did going to class.....had my own expensive paddle and everything. I was the guy in the foreground of that video, (not nearly as good) who played "defense" until the aggressive players eventually missed. Lots of fun! ;)
