As I slowly scrolled down, prior to getting to the selector switch, I thought that I was seeing a torso and two thighs on the left.

It was a total miss with my kids. I had good instruments out in the open and my wife and I played them. The three sons have good ears and voices, but found pursued other interests, like mountain bikes, kayaks, rock climbing, and hunting and fishing.

    .

Bullet mustangs are a pretty great option.

Epiphone Specials and the SL are as well, especially used.

Yes - my son became a drummer. Which may say a lot about my guitar playing. Oh well.

Yup. I had bought a "beater" acoustic and electrics to leave on guitar stands in the corner. I have a video of one of my kids (crawling age) pushing the acoustic around the room, another video of another kid ( of similar age ) literally beating the strings with a toy hammer.

The beater electrics ( one standard - one Eb ) are a junior and a special II. The Junior got a GFS P-94 style pickup. With the Bolt-ons if one falls over due to kids carelessness, I just buy another used for $40 to replace the neck and I;m good to go. The special II I bought a month or so ago for Eb and it stock so far. I might not play it enough to warrant mods anyway.

These also act as decoys to keep interest away from the nicer guitars that they will inherit one day.

I recently upgraded my "beater" acoustic to a Ibanez Artwood Grand Concert style. The solid top makes it sing more than the old Yamaha F-335 in Tobacco Burst.

Here is the Epi Junior with GFS Mean 90 (unmodded left, modded right)

Isn’t there a video of Gibson driving a loader over a guitar, or two, going around? Lol.

As soon as my grand daughter saw this guitar hanging in my music room, she pointed at it and said, “My buitar.”

How could I say no? So I threw in a pick...

The 2nd one will be refinished in Seafoam Green (or Surf Green ?) + Gretsch HS FT (or other ?) + Bigby B5LH.

My kids are past that point thankfully.
Once they were old enough to know not to misuse the guitars though I have never had an issue letting them play whatever they want. .

Currently searching Ebay for a Les Paul BUT a 70s lawsuit. Baachus, Burny, Greco, Fernandes.Profile,Ibanez, Tokai to mention a few. Why? Because they are under $1,000 USD and are better than Gibsons of that or this era.

Sorry to go a bit off topic - but - I've been seeing piles of Fujigen based guitars on fleabay, lately. Much of them coming from overseas in Japan. They're an incredible bargain! 400-800 bucks, shipped, and for a solidly crafted machine.
It's a great time to have GAS, or style out a young, up and coming player with a quality 'vintage' instrument.
