Why does Popeye's always make me sick?

Your body is actually telling you something, "Please don't eat at Popeye's". I would simply follow that advice. What's the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over & over while expecting a different result. YMMV but I would avoid Popeye's

If you have ever watched dogs... they'll get into something and just wolf it down and in few minutes, up it comes, and what do they do? They eat it again! Astounding! Mind boggling!

I think the point is there if you dig through it.

During my "scientific" research into this phenomena, I've discovered that ownership of expensive gear is related to gastric upset when eating fast food. While this is mostly evident when one dines at Taco Bell, it can be extrapolated to other fast food establishments.

The cure is to sell all of your custom shop guitars, fancy handwired tube amps and boutique pedals. Replace them so that a CV Squier and a Boss Katana are your usual rig and you can eat any fast food with near impunity.

I really try not to eat fast food very often
With a few exceptions (Rosa's Migas bowl in the morning)... but sometimes it happens. I'm 37, my wife and I each work full time and we have 3 kids under 6... sometimes fast food happens.

Well, as I said, that was my plan too. 15 years until I really didn't have much choice one day...

Olive Garden's Ceasar Salad does the same thing to me.

It is some non natural ingredient they add.

Some correctional processes often tend towards the extreme. But if you think it might work I'll back you up on this suggestion to the OP.
I was thinking he might actually be morphing to vegetarian.

Also here in Texas, free range is often misused to describe road kill.

I don't go crazy over them but of the contenders I believe they are the best. They have a good spicy too.

One thing I noticed is my closest town has two Chick-fil-A's. One in a mall and one brick and mortar. The mall one taste different. To the point it's not that great. I have no idea why. I wonder if the people that don't get Chick-fil-a, if that is the way their taste. If so, I understand why they don't get it.

OP should consider no longer eating at Popeye's.

I have dined at various Popeye's locations (most in my home state of Louisiana) since 1979 so, in the space of 42 years I have never experienced anything remotely close to what the OP has endured.

Go ahead OP & stop going to Popeye's; you'll thank yourself. :D

I think Hardees and Arbys both do better, and most bars that have halfway decent food can do you up a spicy crispy chicken sandwich that just slays anything that any of those fast food joints can do, IMO

Never had Popeyes, but everyone raves about their chicken sandwich, so perhaps someday I'll try one.

Red Lobster is the place I will never eat again. Haven't been there in 1 years, but the few times I ate there before......well, you know!

Popeye's chicken makes me feel ill sometimes, but only when I eat too much of it. If I can control myself, everything is fine.

Oils can contain many things that some folks can’t handle. Sunflower, peanut, cottonseed, flax, canola etc

I have to admit, I do like Popeye's spice fried chicken. It was my go to for take out chicken. It is, however, a lot farther from my house than KFC. Recently they stopped offering the Cajun rice. Said it wasn't selling enough. I no longer bother to go there. To me, that rice with some of their gravy added was what made the extra distance worthwhile.
