I own four guitars with trems and cant find two of the trem arms. Where did they go, and how did they disappear? I don't use them and thought I put them in their respective gig bag pockets. Can't be the same dryer that eats those missing socks doing it.

I sneak in and steal them.

No, you cannot have them back.

P.S.: You're out of potato chips.

Is this a "why" question, or is this a "where" question?
If it's a "why", perhaps they feel unfulfilled, and simply choose another path

(The subject line of the thread is obscuring the issue, possibly ;))

I used to lose all of mine all the time but in the past few years I have learned to embrace their many charms and miss them terribly when they’re not there!

Look in the top secret hidden compartment of the guitar's case. I find all kinds of stuff in there.

Yet another reason I blocked the tremolo on my Stratocaster and set the wiggle stick aside.

    They get bored and wander.
My grandfather had the tremelo arm from his 70s mustang under a rack stacked with 3 recorders, a turntable, 2 crates of records, and a Peavet Session. There was no gap under the front. They go on adventures.

I got my strat trem arm back from pirates after a year of hiatus around 2004. One was using it as a hook hand.....

It's worse when stores sell you a guitar without them.

Take off the drain trap in your washing machine. You will find a few pick and possibly those whammy bars too.

The huge ancient Kenmore clothes dryer I have uses three thick plastic fins inside the drum to sort of paddle the clothing around as it spins. These fins are hollow, and each one has a two little slots on each side where it meets the inside of the drum. These slots are exactly the thickness and length of a US quarter laying flat. I am pretty certain the engineers who designed this appliance intentonally put these slots in to swallow change.

I'm also fairly certain they have money invested in companies like Clayton and Dunlop (who make and sell guitar picks) because these things gobble 'em right up.

There's really no way to get coins and picks out unless I pop the top off the dryer and unscrew the four screws holding each fin inside the drum. It's been a few years since I did that, and there's probably 30-40 picks and a few coins in there again...they rattle around and make a racket.

The irony is that I never use mine so they often stay around longer than the guitars they go with.
