Is yours an original?
Yes, all original 1991, Charvel toothpaste logo, OHSC, case candy... dead mint, not a scratch on it.
I almost wish I was a bass player...
I really like the look of the 50s P Bass. Simple, to the point - like a Tele.
Presumably you mean the early 50's single coil p-bass, as the current p-bass design (split pickup) was from the 50's as well.
I like the early 50's ones as well and wouldn't mind one in that style, though I do have a 73 P-bass that's incredible, and the split pickup ones are really the ones with the iconic sound anyway.
I just can't help it
Any wiring/pickup mod ideas for this Gem??
If it came in Fiesta Red...
Yep... ugly. Been lightly relicing this one for 25 odd years.
Yes the single coil.
i said it and i ll say it again
got to find the right girl, or the right guy.
Nice- add a bridge cover for bling!
Love that aged Olympic White....
Yep, I don't find them unattractive at all. It's a classic look to me.
It's really not the bass but how you play them that makes them attractive, or well....
My wife got me one of thee tone monsters! I absolutely love this bass! Great in every aspect!
P Bass tops this cat's list.
THE 10 MOST IMPORTANT ELECTRIC BASSES IN ROCK & ROLL HISTORY
Surely the Black Widow bass was not only not one of the most important basses in Rock & Roll history, but barely even a footnote.
If it didn't, his list would have no credibility.
The P-bass is actually vastly more important than the Telecaster.
I'm actually riding around at work right now listening to Steve Cropper and Duck Dunn on the That's The Way It Should Be MG's album.
My 1995 Hamer Cruise Bass with a 2-Tek bridge is gorgeous....
Yeah, I'm in disagreement with the OP.
This may be the most gorgeous musical instrument I've ever seen:
I think most of the classic bass shapes like P and Jazz bass and Ricks look good, but most boutique basses make me think someone hates tropical hardwood and wanted to find an excuse to punish it...
Also, wood grain knobs and pickup covers are a crime against good taste.
