I really didn't like Tom Selleck in any role until he got old.
But I do secretly like the new Magnum PI for Perdita Weeks.
    Got a weakness for Weeks...

I loved that Jim Garner didn't use a stunt drivers for his back-up U-turns in the Firebird. He had that move down pat.

The story lines were good, and Garner played the character well.

You forgot "Hec Ramsey". That's the detective show set in the old west.

The Green Hornet was kind of an inbetween show...a little too dark and gritty for kids (completely unlike Batman) and not quite sophisticated enough for adults.
But as a 7 year old, we KNEW that Kato could have killed Robin the Boy Wonder in a real flight.

As an interesting side note, the Green Hornet was rerun in Hong Kong as The Kato Show, and Bruce Lee was a star there without realising it.
Bruce was never meant for the small screen.

Jimmy was a good driver, and he was involved in racing, and I think he did all his driving in Rockford, and in the film Gran Prix too, which frustrated the producers to no end, worried that their star might have a terrible accident. He's one of my favorite actors, and is always great in everything, like Maverick, Support Your Local Sheriff, Cash McCall, The Great Escape, Space Cowboys, Victor Victoria, Murphy's Romance, and The Americanization of Emily, to name but a few other memorable roles of his. In the 80s they did a reboot of Maverick called Bret Maverick, and it had Stuart Margolin, who played Angel on the Rockford Files, playing a shady character similar to Angel. It airs on Sunday on one of the oldies channels.

Back in 1969/70 I was an extra in Hawaii 5-0.
I was even in the main camera shot for the scene.....I believe it was season 3 episode 1.
So H5-0 for me. I was going to college at UH.

You are the first person I have run into to say that. It intrigues me as I enjoyed nearly everything...what didn't work?

I still wrestle with the question: Which version of the movie "Monte Walsh" was better? Selleck or Lee Marvin?

After Jack died they did a tribute episode, and Fish (Abe Vigoda) left, because he got his own series, which failed and was cancelled after a short time

But a friend of mine made me a mixtape back in the days of cassettes that had a bunch of Arthur Lyman on it.
