I met one other member when I was selling some guitar boxes on CL a couple of years ago. When we met I asked him what he was shipping and we started talking guitars. Next thing Telecasters came up and I asked if he was a TDPRI member he said yea and we both laughed. We exchanged account names which I cannot remember for the life of me. But it was pure coincidence.

oh, wait a minute! I have met someone on here and have known them a long, long time.

In fact, we've played together over a period of over ten years in the (erhm, well, uh) highly "unknown", but just beyond an inside joke, the Eben G. Fine Band, a once-a-year gathering of old friends for a charitable cause. For the most part, band members have been Boulder High graduates. Kind of a rare thing that we manage to stay in touch and music has been the common bond.

The one and only @coloradojeff, who has graciously been the band's Swiss Army knife, playing bass or guitar as needed and who last year, brought a terrific version of "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out" to last summer's gig. We also performed once at Rangely High School, in NW Colorado, as a one-off, but totally fun deal.

Over the years, he was kind enough to let us rehearse in his basement and his generous spirit has been one of the reasons so many band members look forward to this annual excursion. He's not always active here, but he's been a long time tele fanatic.
