In 2018 my daughter had just moved to London so I drove down a bunch of stuff for her (including my old Squier Strat) and brought along my Tele - then the next day I went to one of the London TDPRI Jams organised by @AngelStrummer, at which I also met (iirc) @Texas Special, @Mid Life Crisis and @Tony474. And a great time was had by all — but somehow no-one took any photos! 😀.

(You know there’s a few of us in Scotland… maybe someone will organise a Caledonian TDPRI Jam one day…)
I certainly did take photos. Did i not post them in the appropriate thread? Anyhow...... How the devil are you? Well I hope.

I've jammed with Johnny a bunch in Jersey.

Here's me (on the Gretsch) with IPLAYLOUD in our first band. Back then, he was known as IPLAYMARIMBA.

Did the band name apply to all of you, or just the horn players :)

I’ve met KokoTele a couple times, he did setups on a couple of guitars for me.

Met up with Jakedog once while in Cleveland for work, at a bar where he was playing.

I’ve met Jim Campilongo, been to about eight of his shows at the Rockwood, bought several CDs.

MuchXS built a Champ chassis for me several years back, but we never met. It was all PMs and shipping.

I went to Bakersfield to teach a class one time, but I didn’t see TD.

I have three local TDPRIers, as far as I can tell. Local in the sense that we live in the same town or at least the same county. I've thought about inviting each of them to a 'meet' of some sort but I figure they've got more important things to do.

Besides, I'm kind of awkward in person and such. I don't know that I'd leave a good impression on them.

In Dundee it would be Wha's mit wha? (pronounced Hiwa)
Interesting. I mentioned some time ago that my wife's great-grandfather was from Dundee. He enlisted in the North-West Mounted Police at Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1885 and left the force in 1889. He no doubt brought his Scottish accent with him to Canada. I showed this to my wife. She found it amusing. She has never been to Dundee although her late mother visited Dundee. His name was Henry (Harry) Hope.

I have not met anyone from this forum in person, but I’ve had some nice chats.

As for other people from the world of guitar, running into Johnny Marr one day was a highlight. Super nice guy too.
