    For example....

    Guys like Jim Hendrix/Alvin Lee....Elite guitarists...Adequate vocalists

    Sammy Hagar/Steve Marriot.......Elite Vocalists......Good guitarists

The first guy that comes to my mind that is BOTH an elite guitarist, as well as an elite vocalist is John Sykes; Check out the Blue Murder album.....JS has amazing chops and can BELT out a tune with the best vocalists in Rock

.....Maybe Vince Gil hits both categories.....?

Vince Gill. I now see you had him in the OP. He’s the best I’ve seen.
Ricky Skaggs also comes to mind.

(Both more than adequate on vocals for their chosen genres)

Everybody loves Keith, but I'm not sure I'd classify him as a vocal powerhouse....pre 1975 perhaps haha ?

John Fogerty is a great guitar player- and his singing chops are legendary.

I thought of David Hidalgo right away!

Vince Gill was a great pick too.

    I'll go with Bonnie Raitt

If we're counting guys who are primarily bassists, we're gonna have to add a lot more to the list....In that case, Paul McCartney and Jack Bruce
