Got off the plane, ran home and strung it up. Sounds good but the tone knob does nothing. :( Needs a little more setup and of course fixing the Tone. Hopefully I can do the video tomorrow.

I did have to deepen the pickup to accommodate the ground wire. Pickup is QUIET. :)

Ok I get that the bass is not that impressive. But, tonight at darts I missed the triple 18. Twice, in the exact same hole! Yep, sometimes you have to celebrate a failure. ;-)

Sorry, Pat, the bass impresses me much more than the darts. ;)

Both are quite impressive. I really look forward to hearing that pickup.

    Thanks guys!

Took it to practice this morning and the bassist used it for the entire time. He liked it a lot. I am having a hart time getting the tone knob to do anything. Just a hint of change. I changed the cap to a different .047, and there was just a hint of change. Maybe this thing needs a huge cap?

Hey bud, I had that problem with a neck pickup, tone on the bridge was a very intense change and on the neck nothing, since it was a strat I wired with different caps on each an problem solved, although .047 and .1

    Hey Pat,

The pot may be bad. Stranger things have happened. Happened to me a few months ago.

Thank you. I really am happy with it.

It has turned out well. I would not stagger the magnet lengths on the next one. The E string volume is slightly less than the A. raising the e side of the pickup gets the A magnet even closer. it is not bad enough to really matter. but to me, it matters. so that will get fixed down the road. For now, I am digging on some bass tunes.

    Hey Pat,

It sounds and looks great! I built my pup with only the slightest hint of stagger. With radiuses over 9 1/2" you don't need to stagger mags. But now you know how to do it so I'm sure this wont be your last pup. ;-) Really well done sir!

    Hi Pat

Great bass. Could be on the rack of any guitar store.

    Well done
