    how about this....Galileo Galiei.....

the other night...gazing at Jupiter in the early morning western sky...I thought about how you can easily see the Galilean moons through a telescope...and how incredibly cool that is...

So I looked him up on Wikipedia...holy crap...this dude is like perhaps the most amazing person in history. When Albert Einstein calls you "The father of science"...that's saying something in my opinion...and he did all this stuff like 400 years ago!

Thanks man. Great description! I post, therefore I am. Hey, we are also share an interest in camping.

There's a lot of folks here I'd like to meet. Jkingma built the guitar my wife got me for my 50th. I'd love to meet him one day. Dan German shares my interest in Canadian history. Maxwell Street and I could talk hockey for hours.

There are the dozens and dozens of people here with interesting stories and outlooks, with open minds and generous souls, and with such great senses of humour that any time spent with them would make a day better.

Uh oh, there I go getting philosophical again. :D

    Famous people?
Vladimir Putin, so that I could ask, "Dude! WTF?"
Kevin Bieksa, of the Vancouver Canucks.
    Hugh Jackman
    Aaron Sorkin

I dunno, BigDaddy. Those cargo shorts might be a bit of a distraction.

There are so many interesting creative people around here that it would be hard to narrow it down. I'd have to make it a big jam/party and invite everyone.

As for famous people, I'd like to have dinner with Albert Einstein and Dr. Jane Goodall.

I'd be glad to have a beer with all y'all. Do dead guys count? I'd buy a case for an hour with Jerry Garcia. Or most everyone mentioned above.

Likewise. And everyone else, of course.

I'm not sure if we'd argue in person. If we did, we'd both be convinced we're right anyway. As for a fist fight, he's got height on me (I'm 6'1"; he's 6'3", I believe), but I've got youth on him, and he won't be able to do any of that sissy hair-grabbing on me.
