Opposite effect for me. I now hope the Patriots win. I want to see Brady get his 4th...plus I'm tired of Marshawn Lynch too.

Still, I think Seattle is better overall and should win the game, but I'll be rooting for New England.

Well, that is NOT what happened in the 2009 season when the Saints finally came through.

The general trend was, the die hards who had been there all along got full recognition and while a few powerful opportunists pushed forward, most loyalty over generations was acknowledged, respected and rewarded. I was just one of so many people who took the time to call and congratulate all the folks who had been so patient and persistent. Most of the "newcomers" who attended games and events who missed out in the tough years were very young people.

No, if there's a NOLA "Hall of Shame" it is the number of people who expected consistent appearances from the Saints from 2009 forward. I know some people, especially young people who can't get used to having an ordinary club and got rid of their Drew Brees caps and so forth. But insofar as "Bandwagon", there are towns that don't work that way and you gotta admire that.

True, the bandwagon effect is always there but in some places it is less apparent. Like Philly :D

So now, Mr. Lynch has a deal with an underwear company that will match any fines levied if he grabs his crotch and give it to a charity...
Some people and some companies will do anything for publicity...

I wish it were possible for them to both somehow lose.

    I don't really care.

I will be glad when this one is over. I drive past the Cardinal stadium every day, and in the past couple of weeks all the Super Bowl activities are causing a big slowdown on the freeway from the rubber-neckers.

    I'm saying final score 41-17

I originally thought 27-23... but, I think it will be a game full of lopsidedness...

but, like phoenix, clean and dry.

Tiger Woods was overheard lamenting that worrying about the outcome of the Super Bowl gave him a case of the yips and sent him home without even making the cut.

My long-standing prediction that he will never win another major looks more and more secure--which is odd, because I almost never pick correctly.

I think he is sooooo done. He lost his mojo, and I don't think he'll ever get it back.

May be a good one especially if the Pats find a way to let some air out of Lynch and Sherman's heads. Sorry terrifyingly obvious, some one shoot! Enjoy the show tomorrow.

Arsenal plays Aston Villa tomorrow morning. Go Gunners!

As for the handball game, Seattle is the better team so hopefully that'll mean something.

How impactful will the Seahawks secondary's injuries be today? One dislocated/separated shoulder, a bum knee and an injured elbow. Are these injuries not that bad? Or will they possibly have an impact?

Brady is sick with apparently 'a very bad cold...' How bad is it??
