So fresh off my first tele build, followed by my first pedal build (EA trem), I'm eying my first amp build and want to do something out of the ordinary for the cabinet. I remember coming across a picture of something that looked like the
TVJones logo, but I can't seem to find it again. Anyone know who I'm thinking of? 'Cause I sure don't! Here's my MSPaint version of what I think I'm after

You might be thinking of area 51, or Mergili.

For some reason as soon as I saw it I thought of Gretsch.

That's it! Thanks! It's flat on top, I think I like the angle on the top, plus no one will be tempted to place their drink on it.

Looks like the peavey wiggy amp has a similar shape cut into the face, b ut overall it;s square with a very different head jazzed up to look like a car dashboard.

Megili Innovations amphibian, now that is different! They have a boy elroy that looks like the area 51 and they seem to be the OEM supplier for kendrick, so maybe they are for area 51 too? Cool stuff.

That website is amazing! and no less are the amps.

i was getting all ready to start putting away $$ for a Tweed Twin and you gotta go and post something like this ? Thanx a lot :)
I dig me some swaggy looking stuff and man that is it ! Anybody have any experience with one of these ? The prices are pretty darn good ( under $1800 shipped for the 40watt Fireball with a 2x12 cab) . Hmmmmm , might do some research on these things and change my mind !

So phase one is complete! Just plugged in the head and good googly moogly it works! Still grinning! Except, the little neon light doesn't light up. But it makes sound! Now onto the cab I bought a 2'x4'x3/4" 11 or so ply piece of birch plywood from HD $13 and change and a big red 54" x 54" square of what they called marine vinyl at JoAnn's Fabric, $16 and change. It looks to be way more that I need. Any recommendations on glue for the tolex? Still need grille cloth as well, not sure what I want style wise, but I do know I want to hold it on my hand before I buy it. It is a good day! I will post pics!

So here's some shots of the firefly, the cab is together, need to round the edges and cut the chunk out for the controls. Baffles are cut to size but I still need to cut the hole for the speaker, looks like 11 1/8.

cabs fleshed out, a little wide to accommodate the chassis and the Weber AlNiCo 12S, I didn't finger joint it but it seems pretty solid. It can support me with no problems.
