I got a new R6 last month and am really enjoying those P90 tones. On the neck pickup with the volume rolled off a bit and the tone way down it’s a great jazz tone, with more bite and texture and air to it than a humbucker.

Both pickups and the bridge only sound awesome with a bit of drive. Not so good for higher gain stuff maybe but for the stuff I play it’s perfect and it loves my Tweed Deluxe.

I own two guitars with P90's. I love the sound they pump out, especially the bridge pickup when pushed thru my handwired reissue Champ. The P90 is an awesome pickup, just like the Tele bridge pickup. They have their own unique sound. Enjoy !

Back in the 90's I wanted a Gem series but with young kids it was out of the question. Since then I have managed to acquire a Jumior, ES135 and my avatar Tele, but still lust after a Gem or one of the Gold top Tribute series. Keep looking!

I could not keep the growl down enough in one band
I was in. Good rock growl, but, hard to clean and brighten up for
soft passages in mellow band. Love it, will always
have it. 77 55RI LP special.

P90s are my favourite pickups, perfect for both solid crunch tones as well as nice clean.
I sometimes prefer a humbucker in bridge-position, but the neck-pu has to be a P90!

Yea. It started as TV Black went to many other stains and colors, now it is back to, hmm. some other color.
Frets are so worn, but, I love it. I dont think they offered TV yellow then, but maybe.

    I love P-90s...

I put one in the neck of my main Telecaster...there’s one in the bridge of my Epiphone ‘57-reissue Les Paul Junior...I put a Pete Biltoft Vintage Vibe SP90 set in my Strat...I had Fender MP90’s in my (recently sold) Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe (I need the money and didn’t like “something” that I couldn’t identify.)

    They’re spectacular.

What model is that on the left?
    I love a wraptail.
Looks like an R4 with f holes.
