I had never watched Seinfeld until recently when I got Hulu and noticed Seinfeld is included.
    I wasn't avoiding Seinfeld. I just didn't have a TV
    for many years.
My mom said, "Son, you can't live without a TV," and gave me her kitchen TV, a little 10" b/w.
I find it mostly pretty funny but somewhat dated, and mean spirited.
I'll finish watching the series, I guess.
    Humm... What's next? Friends?
Not sure if I am tough enough.

If.... you are a Seinfeld fan, as I am, this is a must see video, if you have not seen it already.

lol. Genuinely Lol not just letters.

In the Uk it was on late late at night on BBC2 and a bit of a minority fan base.

Loved it then and for a while afterward. Honestly, the modern Netflix/Prime series production these days has ruined me. Laugh tracks and "live studio audience" annoys me now, and the timing of always waiting for the crowd response has lost its charm. Never thought twice back then, but I've kinda lost my taste for most of the old sitcoms I used to love.

    killer bass lines, right?
Yeah those laugh tracks are so completely inane, and jerry seinfeld is a mom-jeans wearing nancyboy

The finale was actually good though. I mean, they came clean.
    They could've added this though

I liked Seinfeld when it was current but I wasn’t obsessed. The live audience episodes far outshined the laugh track ones for me. I like Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. No laugh track there.

Love it! Seen every episode a zillion times and still watch it every time it’s on.

I like cars but I can't stand that. It feels forced. But I dislike most web only content.

I don't see seinfeld as 90s dated. It was from the 90s and looks that way but the plots and jokes are mostly timeless.

I can't stand most sit coms these days. I've seen it all. It's not funny. Same useless setups, same semi edgy but not really jokes. I was in the garage fixing something and Alice was on antenna TV. Blech.

There was a time when I loved it. But like peanut butter Snickers bars, too much of a good thing just isn't a good thing anymore.

I lied about the peanut butter Snickers... I could eat a mountain of them.

I can't imagine it ever being outdone by any other existing or future sitcom. They could never make it today and touch on all those politically incorrect topics and yet make it funny and not offend.

I watched them all.... but much like most comedy I revisit.... It doesn't hold up well.

Case in point.... My wife is almost 10 years younger than I, After a few decades of me quoting History of the World (Mel Brooks) I finally got her to watch it.

She didn't laugh more than 2-3 times, and I wasn't perplexed as to why she didn't.

But Holy crap, from ages 12-25... I must have watched it 25 times.

I guess I should have had her watch it when I first met her. :p

    Jerrrrry...

No question. The laugh tracks took it down a notch.
