Haven’t watched in years and years but back in the 80’s it was the Rock ‘n Roll Express. I did like others but it was Gibson and Morton I looked forward to.

My first wife came up with, “you know that’s fake right? Why do you watch it?”

“Yea, Gilmore Girls is fake too.” :)

You got to wonder if some of the greats of yesteryears like Jack Brisco, Dory Funk jr., Vern Gagne, Bob Backlund or even Lou Thesz could make it today. Everybody has to have such an over the top personality or muscles on muscles.

Brookdale plays an old style 1959 Chet Atkins model Gretsch, so maybe the 1959 NWA champ should be his favorite: Pat O'Connor.

Those names are burned into my memory. Not a wrestling fan by any means. More like a memory of a car crash or something.

Buddy Rogers until I nearly broke a kid's arm trying one of his moves in junior high school. I learned about the very real differences between gym class and TV wrestling in a week of after school detention. Those were the days! Way before East German Olympic teams and the rampant use of steroids.

The American Dream, Dusty Rhodes was always my favorite.

I also was a big fan of Stan "the Lariat" Hansen.

And "Big Cat" Ernie Ladd was a helluva talker and quite good in the ring, too!

He played a great heel. He could really tell a story with humanity. Great at sneaking up on an opponent a hitting him with a folding chair when his back was turned while talking to the ref.

He had a great tag line. "We can talk it over, baby, we can talk it over."

Got to see him live 4 times. That man could whip a crowd into a frenzy. It was so much fun.

    Other favorites include:
    Dave Batista
    Ultimate Warrior
    Randy Savage
    Jake Roberts
    Shawn Michales & HHH
    Taker

And, of course, I'm still a big fan of
    John Cena!

    I truly despise Brock Lestner.
