Never heard of them before. At that price point: one guess would be the Reverend/Eastwood Guitars business model - made in Korea, China, etc, with good quality control, then final QC and re-label in the US. Probably not anything you couldn't find on any number of Chinese internet sites. Just a guess, though. Might be good stuff. Worth a trip to Leander? It's a wide spot in the road on HWY 183?

Maybe he has time and money and just likes building stuff, and it piles up.
Awhile ago I bought a beautifully done 18w Marshall clone from a guy who just loves to build them for a hobby.
I paid considerably less than the price of the kit alone.
Maybe he's trying to make a name for himself and get his name/stuff out there.
The recognition factor is a big thing.
After the 3rd or 4th time you hear something, it becomes, "Oh, yeah...Thomas...I've heard of that guy..."

Look, I don’t know any more about these guitars than anyone else here. But, if you’re getting quality tuners like Schaller or Grover, Duncan pups, nitro finish... the only question is where are the bodies made and how?

If they’re CNC’d cut out of good wood and the guy is finishing them, then why is that price point unreasonable?

Maybe he’s starting out and trying to make a name before he doubles his price, lol.

And, yeah, if you’re looking for a good axe and you feel like he’s answering questions about them in the right way, it might be totally worth it to go check them out.

I have no dog in the hunt except it seems kinda unfair to be taking shots at the guy without knowing anything about his work.

There would be near zero profit in those amps with those claims.
If it seems to good to be true it likely is.

    Believe it or not...
Some people are willing to go into debt to start a business.
    I know...it's shocking.
Hey...I know nothing about the guy(s), but to knock him/them down based on nothing seems irresponsible.
Maybe he works in a music store and gets parts way below retail?

I’ve never played the guitars, so I can’t comment on the quality but if they’re even semi decent, 900 for a custom made guitar is a steal especially if you like the specs

What would be irresponsible is buying one, but I know some people are willing to shell out good money based on nothing but the deal.

What? How would buying one of his guitars be irresponsible?

My aunt had a Thomas organ but I'm almost certain it's not the same thing.

And I probably wouldn't buy an organ with anyone's name attached from Craigslist. That just sounds like the first 15 minutes of a horror movie.

Wish someone would try something he's made - they all look interesting for sure - I know just because it's not made by a larger, more known name that it's tough to get a start in any biz...

Sorry, I certainly did not mean to start a flame war denouncing the guy. I honestly wanted to know if maybe he was somebody famous that everybody else knew about but me. After all, there are a few famous people from Austin :)
