I used to have a license to drive small buses for commercial gain, or something like that. It was a long time ago, and it's lapsed anyway.
Had a dog license once, when I had a dog.

I've got two passports, does that count?

I'm a licensed Blues Lawyer. But for me the learning never stops. Here is my latest certification picked up in the last few months discussing a topic not allowed here. facebook certified.jpg

Flight engineers License. A&P and more. wow Rob R that's lousy pay for an A&P. NEVER really used mine much but it's a requirement for most Flight Engineer positions.

I will have to see if I kept my copy and re-read. I don't recall the arguments in the book being very convincing for a number of reasons. I may PM you after I re-read and see if you want to discuss separately.

Again, if I get into background checks and what they are really used for, I will be treading on political territory. And, indeed, it is the very political nature of licenses that I find rather troubling. Having some friends on boards in a couple of states helps me have a slightly different understanding.

My wife and both daughters have professional licenses, and spend a lot of time worrying about meeting the requirements to stay licensed.

I used to have a bunch of licenses for a lot of different things when I was active duty military. Then they made me retire. Now I don’t even wear a watch, because I don’t care what time it is.

I rather like not caring what time it is, LOL! :D

You don't have to explain the teaching thing to me.......I came to teaching relatively late in life, (retired about three years ago) and I was simply ASTOUNDED when I did by all the certifiable sociopaths in classrooms and admin. I appreciate people's admiration and praise for us teachers who they believe should be "sainted".......but, oh, how little do they know!

Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber License- 31 years and counting

Although I'm no longer in the field/trade, I still keep my licenses and perform the required continuing ed. I busted my a$$ to get those licenses, I'll be damned if I let them lapse. I did let my MA Sprinkler Fitter license go because I knew I didn't ever want to do that again.

I'm just a lowly writer now.

He never licensed me, even though he was my cousin. We only met once and I had a short conversation with him at the guitar shop that was both our favorite.

I was a Certified Georgia Fireman back in the '70s. I was a company commander in a North Georgia department. I met my wife through the department and actually saved her life on a call. I've still got a helmet from the company as they were transitioning to the new motorcycle helmet at the time. Oh, and back in that day we still rode on the step on the older engines and trucks.

My wife is a licensed Pharmacy Tech.
