Who else got the Guitar Center email survey worth $10?

I just got an email from GC stating that if I complete a survey they will send me a $10 gift certificate. I thought "why not" and blew through it in a few minutes. Judging from some survey questions, it looks like GC is toying with the idea of a customer loyalty program. Earn points for purchases and exchange the points for other things or gear.

My favorite survey question was the one about how important is it to me to visit an instrument retailer that has a loud and "enthusiastic environment", or however they worded it. Hopefully GC will get the message and turn down the horrible music blasting away at deafining levels through the intercom.

This new survey must be twice as long as the $5 one. I'm going to get me some new strings and picks in 6-8 weeks. Yippee

I got a $20 gift certificate from them last week for no real reason-still haven't figured that one out. Got there right when they opened at 10 am and the place was empty.
I guess the emo kids don't get up that early...

I got one a while back but when I got halfway done with the survey a screen came up saying they had received all the responses they needed and the survey ended. I was a little annoyed because I had just spent 15 minutes doing half the survey so I wrote their customer service a little email and they sent me $10 anyway.

Man! I take those little surveys all the time, but I never get anything other than "an entry into this months drawing" Oh well...

Always a fan of free money from them. My brother gets $20 giftcards all the time, and just gives them to me (he doesn't even play guitar). I wait till the 8 packs of strings for $20 deal and get strings for a year. Makes me happy.

I had skipped right by that e-mail until I saw your post. I went back and did it. They send me gift cards from time to time in the mail anyway. They sent me a $15 card right before the Memorial Day list sale. I went to the Oakdale MN store and one of the two decent sales guys gave me four sets of DR Extra life coated Black Beauties for it. I haven't tried them yet, but I think it was worth the gas to go get them.

I got my $10 card in the mail Tues. It's good until 10/31/09. Thanks to the original poster that brought the survey to my attention. I would have skipped right by it like junk mail.

I typically don't fill out ANY survey of any kind (I am not gonna help some brain-washing marketing director more effectively brain-wash people into buying crap and/or voting for a piece of crap) however if this can help make GC a more civil place I'm all for it.
