I don't think I ever go beyond Page 1 in any forum on TDPRI. Even if I haven't been on for a couple of days, which is rare. If I'm looking to find something I want to look at again I might but generally if it's not on Page 1 I'm not going to see it.

Maybe they should make 300-post pages.

no, I just hit the new posts tab and scroll down that... anything that isn't on page one I treat as dead.

I've been busy for the past few years and now that I have some downtime I thought I'd get caught up with this place. The other night I made it to pg 7 of the BDC. I read about people's experiences with the supernatural and divorce experiences, etc. I didn't have anything to contribute but it was fun nonetheless.

Good thing I caught this thread while it was on page 1, or I would have missed it.

If I want to comment on the OP's post, I try to at least keyword skim everything before me...no point in reinventing the wheel if I can just agree with an equally brilliant and talented poster ahead of me o_O.

I always check the first two pages because the six American time zones are so far apart from GMT that there's usually something interesting to read. I always look at the new post column too. Why is it that when you hover the mouse over the subject title, not all of them lead into the first sentence?

Same. 99 percent of the time I’m just looking at the newest threads page.

I’ll even get sick of my own threads after like two pages. I’m usually long done with the conversation by then, ha.

Typically I don't either, unless I am looking for a recent thread that got demoted to a back page.

This. I’ll dive a bit deeper if I’m searching for a particular thread. But other than that? Not usually.

I start at the last page and work my way to the front, just like magazines. I haven't made it here yet. But you are right.

I just go to new today on tdpri. I go about 8 or 10 pages deep then give it a rest, go see what the wife is doing for about a half a minute.

I don’t even make it into particular forums... I just keep refreshing the new posts page.

Same here, just new posts unless searching.

You know there are new posts that don’t show on the new posts page though right?
At some point the powers that be decided all epic threads are not allowed on the new posts or today’s posts list.

So for example what’s on your workbench today is active but hidden etc.

Unless it’s a thread about guitars with Bigsbys, I never read past the first few posts.

    I miss Preeb's ( Gil Yarron's) epic posts. Jupiter did a good one on a 335 .

I looked at every single page of the Greta and Ramparte owners' clubs. All of them, I think there are two Ramparte clubs and maybe one or two general Pawn Shop Series clubs. I don't remember if before or after buying those amps. Pretty sure I checked out the Excelsior pages even though I never bought one.

Same here. If I need more than that I’ll use the search function. I do search up older amp build threads, or great acoustic build threads and read through them.

Some threads are more interesting than others.
Sometimes the responses are thoughtful and well considered.
Those threads invite the “deep dive”.
Some threads are obviously troll bait.
Lastly, and these are my favorites, some threads discuss subjects that all of us ponder.
These threads often offer insights that force/cause me to reconsider long held beliefs/opinions.

I go to "New Posts" most of the time, and I don't think there is a page 2 option.
