lol, and they won't as long as you keep doing your job, Professor
He must have been using one of those fancy Kemper amps.
Those little digital bits in them can make your guitar sound like anything you want it to.
They might look like a over complicated digital alarm clock but they are truly amazing pieces of gadgetry.
Should be interesting to see what replaces them next year. Might even be possible to rock a solo like that using a Lute.
Stevie T does an analysis of what the guitarist was actually playing in this solo and re-records it. If you can't stand to watch the whole thing the action starts at 5:30 or so.
What the hell?
That reminds me of a wedding gig I did just this weekend. I bet this dude had a similar predicament.
I went to set up for the ceremony portion, where I was to play solo guitar fingerstyle arrangements while the guests arrived, then selections for the bridal party, bridal march and recessional.
I have a SKB ATA flight case for my Taylor nylon string that is HEAVY.
We finished soundcheck for the dinner/dance portion, I changed and grabbed my guitar case and speaker to get set up for the ceremony, with about 20 minutes before the guests were to arrive. I opened up my nylon string case and whadya know - ITS EMPTY..... In a rush to leave the house that morning, I managed to grab the case from my garage, load it into my car and leave the house without taking the guitar off the stand in the living room. The case is so damn heavy I didn't even notice it was empty.
It was a facepalm moment. This is a high end wedding band that is expected to deliver and the Type A bandleader was NOT happy.
I had no choice than to do the ceremony with my Tele. Fortunately, I have a 72 Thinline build with Lindy Fralin Sunbuckers (beautiful sounding pickups) for the dinner set. I use a Zoom G3 for delay/reverb into a QSC K12 for my acoustic sound. In a rush to find a suitable tone, I found the Zoom's acoustic simulator. With some verb, delay and the simulator, the sound was surprisingly very nice.
Even though it sounded fine, I felt like it just didn't look right, playing an electric in that setting. At least I was really playing though...
So that's my guess....the dude forgot/lost/broke his electric and had no other choice!
That's one badass classical guitar!
Now THESE GUYS are playing their instruments.
The drummer’s cymbals weren’t either!
Am I the only one who can't stand to watch Stevie T at all?
I’ll go with that.
I’m right there too. Lasted 35 seconds. And shut it off. I still have the confused “WTF” expression on my face though...
Even when the topic looks interesting I don't click on his videos..I might as well be watching one of those YouTubers playing video games for as obnoxious as he is.
