Leatherman Micra for everyday but favorite is a larger Sharp brand Buck style that I wear on my belt when we're in the country. I feel kind of nerdy with it but there's a weird comfort to having it there. Japanese made and sold in Kmart back in the 70s. But it's a great knife. I taught my sons that every man should have a knife in their pocket.

I grew up on a farm so usually had one handy. Went to college and started work and stopped carrying one. Only in the last year started carrying regularly again since some friends asked me to make some knives, so I've been benchmarking designs and carrying more. Gerber, Kershaw, Victorinox are in the rotation. One I have right now in my pocket is a $4 Walmart folder (there are two good models in that price mark, the 'tan flipper' that has G-10 scales and the thumb stud opener with the camo painted handle). My farming background makes me want to carry sturdier knives than all the popular ones that have flat face grinds like Spiderco that seem like I'd snap the blade and flimsy frames in attempts to reduce weight.

Had my Victorinox Champ for around 30 years. Indestructible gear and always in my bag or rucksac when out or on workbench to strip wire, etc. when building stuff. I travel too much on planes to wear/carry it but I have a belt case for it.

I have one like this too but it's in the console of my car not my pocket. Sharp things in close proximity to my privates and other organs make me a little nervous.

I used to carry a Wenger Swiss army knife all the time, but it lost out to the smartphone in the end. I miss the knife probably a couple of times a week, but the phone can't share a pocket with a knife, keys or coins. Something had to go.

I have a Leatherman Squirt on my keyring. Only small but it's been there for years and still gets used loads at home and work.

Victorianox Swiss for me, I carried a S&W SWAT for years but lost it. I also have a variety of cheap-o's I alternate. But the Swiss is my favorite.

Still carry a butterfly knife in my hardshell case, old habits die hard.

I have carried various pocket knives since the early 1960's in grade school - I'm going to be 69 next week, so that's a while.
I mostly carry a Case Copperlock lockback or a Case swing guard Cheetah, a slightly longer lockback.

I used to collect Spyderco knives that I would carry. They've become too expensive. I have been carrying a Kershaw Leek for a few years. It does all that I need it to do.

I keep a little multi-tool in my pocket at all times, unless I'm swimming. It's only 2" long in its case, so it's easy to carry, and I've been carrying it for 10 years or so - got it as a gag gift years ago. I've used it hundreds of times since then - it's the most useful little thing. I also keep regular folding knives in my vehicles, several rooms at home, tool box, etc. It's amazing how many times you need one, just for a minute.

    blade for peeling fruit!!o_O

T was illegal for a time to carry a knife of any description in NSW as part of the then governments attempt to crack down on teen gangs.

The airport thing drives me nuts. And as has been pointed out if the plane crashes you're going to need Swiss Army knives, leather men etc

Where I come from a pocket knife is standard equipment. I don't know a guy that doesn't.

I am carrying a CRKT these days.
