My first 'good' guitar (in the 60s) was a Melody Maker in that shape.

    I bought three new things:

    • A Harley Benton Les Paul Jr.
    • A Brian May rip off... er, copy, um... tribute guitar. That's it, a tribute guitar.
    • Cheap Jazz bass copy.

Like I always do I upgraded/modded the guitars.

The bass is not bad for $80, it needs sharp fret ends smoothed is all.

Four dang quarantine purchases in fact:

MJT/Musikraft partscaster Tele off Reverb. The sustain and presence are unlike any Tele I've owned prior.

And the following three to "shootout":

    MXR Univibe
    Betty Won't Magnavibe Clone
    Bearfoot FX Magnavibe

Now I don't wanna get rid of anything....

I went ahead and bought a digital piano - I had been considering it for a while, but the extra alone time and lack of band time meant it was a good time to re-learn some keyboarding and music reading skills.

Well...I bought a nice mandolin off the eVil website, hoping that I have made the economy better for one fellow in West Virginia with Mr. T's check...developing some shoulder problems so thought this might be an alternative to explore instead of a dread size acoustic...but didn't think about the pointy thing on the lower bout stabbing into my thigh...I shoulda got an "A"...

it's pretty hilarious having too much time on your hands. I don't think I ever would've purchased a survival knife.
I went down a rabbit hole of watching dual survival episodes. then I sat and watched forged in fire binge watch. Knives are very cool useful.
I saw that a 6 - 7 "bowie knife or a camp knife is mandatory for survival.
I figured I should at least have one reliable knife in case of earthquakes hurricanes mobs there called ship hits the fan (SHTF) scenario. I decided I could afford a $200 high quality knife, for fun and even its artistic value beautiful to look at.
So then about 10 hours of YouTube videos on what a survival knife is and how to choose one.
Then another 20 hours researching current high-tech steel alloys that can hold a razors edge for the longest amount of time. settled on CPM 3V. fricking razor-sharp, it's very beautiful to hold definitely very satisfying.

so I'm pretty happy. survival Lilly prefers this knife she seems like she's actually someone I would want to be with if SHTF. so now I can put it in a drawer and never use it. SRK actually mean survival rescue knife 1 of the more popular current knives. way way way too much time on my hands it ticking away with my sanity.

I purposely haven't bought or sold anything of consequence during this period.

I did buy an AR10 but that was unrelated.

I wanted a higher quality Reverb and almost sprang (pun intended) for the Immerse. I ended up going with the Expanse and an exp pedal. Neunaber's sound so good in the demos! I hope it lives up to the hype I built up on my mind.

I also bought a Deluxe Memory Man 550 TT.

I hope that will cure my pedal GAS for a while.

Think it’s more a question of who’s selling something because of the quarantine. The seller of this nice Rickenbacher was a young man in SC out of work because of COVID impact to his job.
