For those who bought something after getting quarantine GAS, what did you buy?

    Post pics.

For those on the edge, what is it?

I am doing this to get an idea of how the guitar trade is performing during this dark time.

No, I avoided buying things I would have normally bought.

I was getting crazy being house bound. So I went web surfing and grabbed a Fender American Original '60s custom Telecaster in 3-Color Sunburst.

No, with all the uncertainty, I’m hoarding money. Who knows how long this will last.

I didn't and will not, figuring why put people at risk for frivolous things.

I did buy several pedals over the winter though, so I am lucky there, and have plenty to play with. What I lack is motivation. I've gotten enjoyment watching TV with my sister and her family.

More or less restricted to the house, spending tremendous amounts of time surfing the net looking at guitars and amplifiers (among other things), economic uncertainty, what could possibly go wrong? There has never been a better situation to play the gear you have, not the gear you wish you had. Or something like that. I'm going to try to make this a positive situation by going through all those TrueFire courses I've stockpiled over the years. I'm hoping that playing my guitar, with the addition of liberal doses of red wine and Xanax, and washing my hands of course, will see me through. Buy gear or don't buy gear, just stay safe (and solvent).

I bought parts to build a micro amp, I wanted to build one for a while but my usual electronics supplier was on a sabbatical. (I can only assume thats going to continue now)

So I bit the bullet and bought from tube-town in germany, parts are due to arrive tomorrow.

I feel confortable I can afford to as I work in a supermarket. Which has its pros and cons at the moment such as I'm guaranteed work and its income but Im also at high risk of getting it.

Zero, though I am gonna want new strings pretty soon. I love my current gear and have plenty to work with, plus the prospect of The Great Depression 2.0 is looming. Not a time to buy guitar #9, exactly.

If you’re buying, could I just put in a plea to buy from smaller traders, used gear from other musicians etc who may be needing the cash.

    And pay a fair price!

I'm in Rome now, I have been waiting for a Gibson les paul junior for several weeks (sent tue first one back) but the replacement took too much to come so in the meanwhile the shop closed.

Not knowing when I will receive it I have really tempted to buy an epiphone les paul special but I am happy that I have been able to resist. Now the shops have stopped to even sell online, so in no way I will be able to buy whatever.

Problem is that now I am badly GASing for a Jimmy Page Tele...
