I'm a Bernie Mac guy. His delivery was so engaging.

On the off chance you don't know the story about him at the beginning of Prince's "Pope", it was very early in Def Comedy Jam's existence, and early in Bernie's (televised) career. The comedian before him was not good and the crowd let him know it. Bernie came out to New York Crowd that had tasted blood and wanted more. What you hear at the beginning of "Pope" were the first words out of his mouth. The crowd was instantly his.

I watched that episode "live" and have seen everything he"s done since.

You still make me laugh Bernie, every time I think of you.

Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Dave Attell, Gaffigan because he’s always waaaay better and darker than you’re expecting.

I find I like a ton of comedians when they’re interacting with other comedians, such as late night shows or interview shows/podcasts.

People that aren’t even straight stand ups and/or aren’t ones I could watch a whole set of.

Of course, Bill Burr is fantastic but there’s a segment on Conan O’Brien’s podcast where he and Burr just go off about different dog breeds and how it relates to certain evil German scientists of the mid century and it is patently hysterical.

Shelly Berman is one of my all time favorites. He told a story and painted a picture while being very funny.
His hangover skit is hilarious and hits the nail on the head.
