I'm really wanting to see Ray Wylie Hubbard. He doesn't come around here much and I missed a chance to see him at a very small venue a couple of years ago.

I'd like to see Jimmy Buffett but I'm not paying that kind of money for tickets to see anyone.

Saw Jimmy Vaughn last week, and also Brad Stivers who is a killer Tele player in Austin.

Plan to see Knocked Loose, Knucklepuck, Moose Blood, Dixie Dregs, and Styx in the next few months.

Yeah, I keep thinking I cold catch Ray Wylie for like 20 years now. He's getting old now though. My sister in law saw him at a local grange hall 20 years ago and loved it. But then she's a bit of a hippie chick!

Was hoping to see Richie Kotzen in Chicago but that's my daughter's spring break so that won't work.

    I rarely see great artists/concerts.
I’m very much, for better or worse, a hand-to-mouth working musician.
I am often working, so I “can’t “ see great acts.
Also, without whining too much, I can’t afford to buy tickets at what they cost “these days”.
Blessedly, I have seen two brilliant, legendary artists this year.
I saw Paul Simon (for the second time), and Jerry Douglas.
Two of my friends had extra tickets after their respective wives couldn’t go.
Both shows were brilliant, and unforgettable!
    Yes!

I just missed Los Lobos and Big Head Todd because they threw me in the hospital again :(

But I’m going to see Redd this year one way or another !

I think I'm done for this year, but.

In February I ticked off Redd Volkaert & Stuie French and last night saw Albert Lee.

    2018:

    Keller Williams
    Dwight Yoakam
    Dead and Company
    Decemberists
    Tedeschi Trucks Band
    Drive by Truckers
    Marcus King Band
    Nels Cline 4
    Steve Earle
    Lucinda Williams
    Dwight Yoakam again

That’s through tomorrow. I haven’t listed a bunch of local and regional acts. Listing them like this is sobering. This is a pretty typical year - I forget how much bread I drop on live music. It’s easy when one lives in a great music city, as I do...
