white powder in guitar cavity?

    Bolide...that's what I would call it, looks like what you would see on some Marine Hardware (or Zinc plates)...from my Old Marina days.

    Well, I bought a new strat in 1989 and recall taking the pickguard off about a year later and being surprised by the white residue in the cavities. Must have had lackluster QC back then!
