You may be right - Fender did not have the specs on it because it's an 88. It's a bit more yellow than it looks in the picture - more like the aforementioned banana pudding look.

If you can see any grain though the finish (and sometimes Fender laid it on pretty thick) then it's blonde. If the paint is totally opaque then it's vintage white.

Vintage white is a great color. I have a PBass in that color that I like a lot.

Okay that's helpful - thanks. I think the body on this partscaster came from a 50's Classic Player (I was told so anyway), and while it's tough to see in the picture, the grain definitely shows through. So I'm changing my answer to this :)

I'm really diggin' the color of Roy's in this picture

I voted between seven and eight. However if you could vote for more than one I would have added either two or between two and three as well.

I'm with PJ55. The late 60s/early 70's Blonde. There are some 67 Blondes with the factory Bigsby in a couple thread here that are PERFECT!

That actually looks like it has a slight tint of red to it. Almost like a very very pale pink!

Ok, so I'm not done thinking about Blonde Guitars, and I'm sure I'm not the first to do this, but I just went through the entire Fender & Squier Telecaster lineup and gathered up all the various "blonde" guitars and put them in a group together. It seems that BSB can be whatever they want it to be (and its doesn't matter transparent or not), Vintage Blonde is nebulous too as far as hue is concerned, but White Blonde, be it aged or not, is pretty consistent.

You know, with modern computers, the Pantone Matching System and modern pigments matching colors is not as difficult as this chart would lead you to believe. Standardization! C'mon Fender! I'm available if you need a Color Matching person at the HQ. ;)

I like blonde-on-blonde. But also partial to shade of my 8502.

That Tele is about where I like it. Going by image Fender has provided (and that I lined up together) I like "White Blonde" the best. And although my Tele is a CV50s body, the vintage white looks more like the Squier Standard Vintage white pictured then the CV50s.

That is a nice chart and from the responses on this thread I think Fender knows what it is doing and it's pretty darn smart.

I like 1&2 but have a Baja that's in that range and two FSR bsbs in the darker 8-10 range

Probably in the 2-3 range, like this Squier 51, and also what they call Honey Blonde on the Nashville teles. IMO, either black or white pickguards look good on this color.
